The
Windsor Function Centre was again the venue for The 2006
Hawkesbury Excellence in Business Awards on Friday 3rd November.
This is the night when the winners of 12 categories were
announced with an overall Gold Excellence award presented
to the "best of the best".
Childs
Pest Services entered in the Trades & Services category
this year - the category that we won at the 2004 awards
night. We were also nominated for Excellence in Business
Presentation and Excellence in Customer Service. There are
12 categories overall with other categories such as Excellence
in Excellence in Environmental Practices, Excellence in
Innovation & Technology and Outstanding New Business.
When
we were selected as the winners of the Excellence in Business
Presentation (less than 10 employees), we were astounded
that we had won again. This award was presented to a business
with fewer than 10 staff for outstanding business presentation.
Factors included: presentation techniques, "corporate"
image, and business image. For this award we had to provide
the judges with examples of the multiple ways we present
our business to the community.
We
enter awards such as these to gain positive recognition
for the pest industry and to demonstrate to the community
that we are a professional, trustworthy pest control company
that will provide our customers with treatments that are
cost-effective and achieve results.
