Childs Pest Services Pty Ltd was established in January 2002. At this time it was a home based business with Glenn managing most of the business procedures himself. Sandy was able to offer some support after-hours when she finished her fulltime job. In June 2003, Sandy gave up all forms of employment and focused completely on the business. It was shortly after this, that Childs Pest Services Pty Ltd started the development of its new logo and "brand", and after which they have experienced most of their growth.

In March 2004, home was too small to operate and continue growing the company, so commercial premises were investigated, and after much research, we finally found a suitable site in the growing industrial area of McGraths Hill / Mulgrave.
